Frequently Asked Questions

About Our Sarasota Heater Repair Services

snowflake icon

At Streamline Heating and Air — and in the Sarasota and Manatee communities — we repair four common types of heating systems.

  • Air-to-air heat pumps
  • Water source heat pumps
  • Gas furnaces

Some of the most common components that we repair include

  • Loose or corroded wiring (for electric heating systems)
  • Dirty coils (for heat pumps)
  • Refrigerant-related components (for heat pumps)

If you notice that any of the above aren’t functioning, don’t hesitate to give a heater professional a call right away for prompt and efficient service.

In Florida, heat pumps last 10-12 years on average (up to 15 years with a few repairs and regular service). Gas furnaces last 20+ years. While your furnace may have a few years left in it, the wear and tear on cooling components can force you to prematurely replace them.

At a minimum, a one-time-per year service plan is recommended.

In Florida, heating service is best scheduled between November and February.
